As I have been fully and utterly inactive for the past month, I give you the PAST MONTH 25 FAST FACT COUNTDOWN (suitably bolded for emphasis):

25. I have and have had pneumonia for the past week and a half

24. this means that I have take huge pills and get a shot in the butt of antibiotic a day and

23. this means that I have to eat a lot of yogurt and fast (luckily they just started selling that pro-biotic stuff in the C-store)

22. Organic Chemistry is actually really fun and intuitive, two out of two doctors have preferred it to inorganic thus far, but I actually prefer inorganic (analytical to be precise) because it's a huge hassle to convert units and use stoichiometry and it makes me feel like I'm learning exciting things. Is it because I like math? PERHAPS, but

21. I prefer chemistry math to Calculus, but maybe that's because I got the new and slightly green Visiting Professor from Israel who has little structure to his lectures (but is very very nice and makes a lot of nerdy movie references in class. I am the only one who gets them).

20. If the first midterm was curved, I might have done okay on it. I have yet to take my Organic midterm.

19. I'm TAing labs for General Chemistry and have all cute little students asking me cute questions about how to work vacuum filters and stuff. The other TAs and I like to sass each other and Mike almost as much as I like

18. watching Heroes with Loren and Tali and Skeller and whoever else shows up at their unofficially/officially named house, Seantopia, a name which was applied before the namesake even paid rent, and that's impressive. It is, however, Sean, which must be taken into account.

17. Chirgilchin, a group of Tuvan Throat Singers came to give a free concert in Kresge. It blew my world into thirty thousand pieces of amazing. They practice a unique type of overtone singing that involves a lot of vocal fry so Laura Lane said we shouldn't try it, but I might anyway. When I stop having pneumonia.

16. I finally beat Bloodlines (anti-climactic ending?), and succeeded in getting my suitemate Elizabeth hooked on it but have been withholding recently since she threatened to take my computer cord if I didn't go to bed, and that's no way to get me to let you play Bloodlines. I managed to beat it before Nick, even though he's literally .5 seconds from the end and just stopped playing right before it.

15. What Nick hasn't stopped playing is Eternal Darkness, which is a pretty freaking sweet game, and now every time I jump on him with hugs, I pinch him a lot with my hands in pincers and claim to be Chattur'gha.

14. I also finally learned where pargon came from, bringing new understanding of what must have been Simon's Eternal Darkness playing time last year.

13. Galesburg is beautiful in the fall.

12. I have piles and piles of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter books on my desk, because Elizabeth decided I should read them. They are most definitely romance novels, but not totally bad ones and have saved my brain from having nothing to do during my pneumonia.

11. 7UP is not as good as Sprite. Pargon.

10. Nick and Simon have bought Italian Soda syrups, which are delicious, and Sarah has founded and I have supported her claim that Blackcurrant tastes like black Jelly Babies.

9. My printer software is utterly left at home, making it difficult for me to print out verifications for my attendance at the

8. AMSA Regions 4 and 6 Conference for medical and pre-medical students. It's about doctors and activism, and some other exciting things, and I'll be there October 19-21 at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

7. I'm supposed to be knitting for SAI, but I'm not because I don't know how to knit. Someone better teach me before the Warm Fuzzies sale happens.

6. Finally got a membership to Family Video, which inadvertently led to accidentally renting some Vampire Snuff Porn (basically) which cost 50 cents and wasn't worth it, and most certainly will not be worth the ???$ in late fees because I had pneumonia and couldn't return it.  Luckily I have a wonderful boyfriend to return things for me.  Late.  Nick.

5. Apparently I only need one course to get a minor in Japanese Studies, and two classes to get a minor in Japanese proper.  Two courses away from a minor in Theatre Tech or Performance, but I don't know if I'll have time to do that and also take the

4. EMT certification courses they're offering at Knox for Winter and Spring terms--something I've been wanting to do for a long time.  It better not conflict with Chemistry.

3. Just got back my Calculus midterm and learned I could get back a third of the missed points by doing them over correctly.  Score.

2. Running out of events.

1. Pargon.

That's it!  Go home!  Don't you have families or something?
