11 August 2008 11:01Perhaps it is because I have developed the need to speak all I mean in so few words that my poems are short.
Most of them are finished speaking before I am finished writing, pushing and grunting with the writer's need to fill up the blankness of a page.
As if more were more.
Wondering what will be thought of my fleeting poems, my six word poems, my sentence poems, the poem with only two lines.
But then, I suppose, the Gold Rush was sparked on the pursuit of yellow gleams--
which became the elated yell at finding fragments in the streams.
