"Mother, you shouldn't leave the dried fruit out on the counter, I'll get dysentery or something." I yelled.

"I have never heard of anyone getting any diseases from eating too much fruit." She replied, from the kitchen.

"That's a flagrant lie! Haven't you ever played the Oregon Trail? It gets so that you run out of supplies, so you're like, 'Yes! Wild fruit!' but then if that's all your wagon family eats, eventually the leader's going to die of dysentery. Because the leader always dies because of something stupid like a snake bite, or a broken leg, or dysentery. If he doesn't die of any of those, he invariably dies of surprise that he hasn't died yet." I replied, running out of breath several times during the story. My mother laughed, but she didn't reply except to talk about scurvy on the ships. I didn't care, my mind was made up. If she left that dried fruit out, I was eventually going to die of dysentery, and I wouldn't ever get to see the mountains.

Goddess, I am... ridiculously sunburnt. In the paper today, it said there was a very small chance of that happening at all times except one in the afternoon, where it only took you half an hour to become sunburnt. Unfortunately I didn't read the paper this morning, and now my legs are as red as lobsters. And as painful as if they had been bitten all over with the lobsters. Ow.

Yeah. Didn't you see me put on SPF 30? I did, right when we got there, and even so, my back and shoulderblades are all painfully red! >_<>_<>_<>_

Heh.

Silly honkies can't be out in the sun. I mock your fragile pigmentless complexion.

...Thats really all I had to say.

And dried fruit really can't go bad. Its dried in order to keep it from going bad. and isnt dysentery primarily aquired from dirty water? ISNT IT!!!!

...I guess I had a bit more to say. But now thats all.

eew. having never actually found out what dysentery did I ran a google search. Apparently disentery is characterised by "low volume bowel movements containing blood." eew again.

...I just like elipses. ..

dysentary can be caused by food which is handled in an unsanitary manner. HOW SANITARY CAN YOU BE ON THE OREGON TRAIL?! Speaking of Oregon, Steve's going to college there.

The funny thing is, I just found this comment. :P

Luckily I'm in a good mood, so I'll give you a straight answer instead of throwing bricks in a yelling-kind-a-way. Honestly, I have no idea. *laughs* How's that for an answer. :P
