Rain, Spain, etc.
1 April 2007 18:09I have this pre-occupation with reading other people's journals, diaries, notes. It's not that I don't respect the right to privacy--although, I suppose that's not respecting the right to privacy--it's that listening to the raw bits of people that weren't supposed to see the sun teaches more about them than anything you could learn from them being friends.
Ooh. Coconut.
Stepping away from my need to know things--Nick took me on a date yesterday. :) My room smells of roses and chocolate, which makes sense. We went out to eat, and on the way back, the rain was falling from the heavens with joyful purpose. It was freezing, and I was in bare legs and sandals. Then opera, and then we tried watching The Godfather again and were only slightly more successful. There's really something about being cuddled up in a bed watching an extremely long movie that causes things like distraction and sleep. Mostly distraction. Silly... other people in the room. Turning on lights and things. Pah!
Re: Spain, j/k, Italy. I applied a couple days ago for a position as an english speaking companion to a young girl and what amounts to a full time babysitter for her younger siblings. The twist: it's at a couple's summer home in Milan. I can't even explain how exciting that would be. Waah! The only problem I guess would be that I wouldn't have an internship, and I wouldn't be home for the summer. Still sending resume to Abbott, but haven't done so yet. Am worried will amount to nothing. I guess there will always be Paris.
